Cardento’s importance for the Swedish sport and breeding does hardly need to be mentioned. Together with Peter Eriksson he won the silver medal at the European Championships in Arnhem 2001, team silver at the World Championships in Jerez 2002 and team silver at the Olympic Games in Athens 2004. Mother Amy was successful herself up to the 1,40 m level in Sweden before she was put into breeding. Grandmother Amira did compete up to the 1,30 m level herself and is an Elite awarded breeding mare. Amira has left several offspring that has been successful in the jumping sport among them James Joyce (by Swift) who competed up to the 1,55 m level with success. |
